The pantropical spotted dolphin is a species of dolphin found in all the world's temperate and tropical oceans. The species came under threat from the killing of millions of individuals in tuna purse seines, before the rise of 'dolphin-friendly' tuna capture methods in the 1980s saved millions of animals (Wikipedia, general species account).
It prefers offshore water. The cached account is limited here, so this entry is restricted to identification and general range.
