Chiromantis nongkhorensis
Rare visitor: recorded only occasionally in this country
Range
Recorded from Vietnam; see species account for evidence limits
Nongkhor Asian Tree Frog (Chiromantis nongkhorensis) is an amphibian recorded for Vietnam in the project inventory. Its supporting occurrence note is “GBIF: 74 Vietnam records”. The accepted scientific name is retained because regional taxonomy and species boundaries can change, while similar-looking taxa may require detailed morphology or genetic evidence for reliable separation. This profile therefore distinguishes the recorded identity and occurrence from broader biological context instead of inventing unsupported locality, size, diet or breeding details (project species data; Amphibian Species of the World taxonomy).
Chiromantis tree frogs are climbing rhacophorids with expanded toe pads and grasping hands. Members occupy vegetation above or near water and many make foam nests that protect developing eggs before tadpoles reach the water. Activity, coloration and breeding sites differ across the genus. These are genus-level biological notes rather than confirmed observations for this species in Vietnam, so exact size, call, habitat, clutch and development times are omitted (general Chiromantis biology; Amphibian Species of the World).
