Titania's woolly bat is a species of bat found in Southeast Asia, a medium-sized member of its genus. The forearm is 32.4–35.9 mm, the ears are large and mostly hairless (12.8–15 mm), the tragi are tall and narrow, the tail is 45.8–53 mm and weight is 4.0–7.9 g. The skull has a distinctly flat appearance, and individual hairs are tricoloured: black at the base, pale grey in the middle and dark grey at the tip (Wikipedia, general species account).
It is nocturnal and roosts in sheltered places during the day; its flattened skull suggests it roosts in constricted spaces such as under tree bark or in crevices. Little is known about its reproduction, though a female in late pregnancy was documented in early May and lactating females in mid May and early June. It is one of the known natural reservoirs of the SARS coronavirus.
