Odorrana andersonii
Rare visitor: recorded only occasionally in this country
Range
Recorded from Vietnam; see species account for evidence limits
Odorrana andersonii (Odorrana andersonii) is an amphibian recorded for Vietnam in the project inventory. Its supporting occurrence note is “GBIF: 95 Vietnam records”. The supplied scientific name is retained because regional frog taxonomy and species boundaries can change, while similar-looking species may require calls, detailed morphology or genetic evidence for reliable separation. This profile therefore distinguishes the recorded identity and occurrence from broader biological context instead of inventing unsupported locality, size, diet or breeding details (project species data; Amphibian Species of the World taxonomy).
These frogs belong to a stream-associated ranid lineage adapted broadly to flowing forest water. Adults occupy wet rocks, banks and vegetation near cascades or channels, while tadpoles develop in water and may possess features that help them remain in current. Species can be difficult to separate without calls, morphology and locality. These are genus- or group-level notes rather than observations of this Vietnamese record, so exact size, elevation, diet, call and clutch figures are omitted (general lineage context; Amphibian Species of the World).
