Range

Williamson's mouse-deer, also called the northern mouse-deer or Williamson's chevrotain, is a species of even-toed ungulate in the family Tragulidae found in Thailand and Yunnan, southern China, and named after the collector Walter James Franklin Williamson. Checklists list Vietnam only tentatively (Wikipedia, general species account).
It favours low-altitude habitats with dense foliage along river and stream banks, and prefers areas with fig trees, Burmese grape and certain gingers. It is crepuscular, which may help it avoid competition with larger, more nocturnal herbivores such as boars, muntjacs, sambars and serows.
