Alionoctula javanica
Rare visitor: recorded only occasionally in this country
Habitat
Old buildings and culverts; adapted to cities
Range
Much of South and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam
The Javan pipistrelle is a pipistrelle bat found across South and Southeast Asia, from Afghanistan and India through China and mainland Southeast Asia to the Philippines and Indonesia, including Vietnam. It favours human habitations, such as external crevices in old buildings and culverts (Wikipedia, general species account).
Reports from cities suggest it is adapted to living in them despite urban clutter, and it is often found roosting singly or sparsely. The cached account gives no description, diet or breeding information.
