Recorded from Vietnam; see species account for evidence limits
Gekko phuyenensis (Gekko phuyenensis) is a lizard recorded for Vietnam in the project inventory. Its supporting occurrence note is “Expert range list”. The exact scientific name is retained because many Vietnamese geckos and skinks are recently described, geographically restricted or difficult to distinguish from close relatives. This profile therefore separates confirmed identity and occurrence from broader ecological context instead of inventing unsupported locality, size or breeding details (project species data; Reptile Database taxonomy).
Gekko species are nocturnal climbers with expanded adhesive toe pads. They hunt insects and other small prey on trees, cliffs, caves or buildings and hide in crevices by day. Females commonly attach hard-shelled eggs to protected surfaces. Closely related forms require scale counts, pattern, call and locality for identification. These are genus-level traits, not a precise species-specific breeding account (general Gekko ecology; Reptile Database).
